Flowa Habit Tracker

Last Updated: April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Flowa ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Flowa habit tracking app ("App"). Flowa is currently developed and operated by an independent developer. In the future, the App may be transferred to or operated under a registered company or holding entity. This policy will remain in effect under any such transition, and we will update the effective entity name accordingly. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a) Data You Create
All habit data, completion logs, notes, planner entries, and app settings are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data, and it is never transmitted to our servers.

b) Google Account & Drive Backup (Optional)
You may optionally sign in with your Google account to back up your data to Google Drive. This feature is entirely optional — the App works fully without it. If you choose to use it:

In a future release, signing in with Google will also enable automatic data restore — so your habits and progress will be available on any new device simply by signing in.

c) AI Feature Data
When you use AI-powered features (habit suggestions, planner parsing, stats summaries, motivational messages), the text you enter or relevant summary data is sent to one of the most reliable AI providers in the world for processing. This data is used solely to generate a response and is not stored or logged by us. The AI provider processes data under their own privacy policy.

d) Purchase & Subscription Data
If you purchase Flowa Pro, your payment is processed by Google Play (on Android) or the Apple App Store (on iOS). We do not receive or store your payment details. We receive only a subscription receipt token via our subscription management provider to verify your Pro status. Our subscription management provider may collect certain device and purchase identifiers; please refer to their Privacy Policy for details.

e) Crash & Error Reports
We use Sentry to collect anonymous, aggregated crash reports when the app encounters an unexpected error. These reports include device type, OS version, app version, and a stack trace. They do not include personally identifiable information, habit content, or any user-generated data.

f) Analytics
We may, now or in the future, use privacy-focused analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns (such as which features are used most often) in order to improve the App. Any such data is collected at an aggregate level and is not linked to individual users. We will update this policy if we introduce a new analytics provider.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited data described above solely to:

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating and improving the App.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction where data protection law requires a legal basis for processing personal data, we rely on the following bases:

Where we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object. Contact us at support@flowahabit.com to do so.

4. Third-Party Services

The App integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their respective policies.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above to the minimum extent necessary to operate those features.

Law Enforcement & Legal Process
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to: (i) comply with a valid legal obligation, court order, subpoena, or binding governmental request; (ii) protect and defend our rights or property; (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users or the public; or (iv) protect against legal liability. Where permitted by law, we will attempt to notify affected users before disclosing their information.

Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, restructuring, or other corporate transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via a prominent notice in the App or by updating this policy before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy practice, and you will have the opportunity to opt out where required by law.

6. International Data Transfers

Flowa is operated globally and uses third-party services — including Google and Sentry — that may store and process your data in the United States or other countries outside your own. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws in your jurisdiction.

Where such transfers occur, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law, including standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or other recognised transfer mechanisms. By using the App, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than the one in which you reside.

7. Local Notifications

Daily habit reminders are scheduled entirely on your device using local notifications. No data is transmitted to any server for this feature. You can disable notifications at any time from the App settings or your device's notification settings.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

All habit and app data lives on your device by default. The App provides two built-in backup options to protect your data:

If you uninstall the App without creating a backup, locally stored data will be permanently deleted. We recommend using one of the backup options above before uninstalling.

Subscription and purchase records are retained by Google Play or Apple App Store in accordance with their own policies. To delete that data, refer to their respective account deletion processes.

Anonymous crash reports held by Sentry are retained only as long as necessary to diagnose and resolve issues, subject to Sentry's own retention schedule.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Your Privacy Rights

General Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold about you, as well as the right to restrict or object to certain processing. Since we store virtually no personal data ourselves, most rights can be exercised directly on your device by clearing app data or uninstalling the App.

EEA / UK Residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)
In addition to the general rights above, you have the right to: data portability; withdraw consent at any time; object to processing based on legitimate interests; and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (e.g., your national Data Protection Authority).

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

To submit a rights request or for any privacy enquiry, contact us at support@flowahabit.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

11. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect the App and its integrations. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data processed by third-party services.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time without prior notice to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect any revisions. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

13. Platform-Specific Notes

The App is currently available on Android via Google Play. Future availability on iOS via the Apple App Store is planned. On each platform, your use is also governed by the respective platform's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
